Quinn’s Q&A: The End of Flash

Question 1:
What’s happening with Flash Player?
Answer 1:
As you may know, all of our games on our website are built with Flash, and have been designed to be played in browsers that have the Adobe Flash Player plugin. Flash Player gave us the ability to create games that anyone could play right from our website over the last 14 years, and allowed us to distribute those games across hundreds of websites to reach a massive audience and develop a group of amazing fans!

Sadly, while Flash has been a part of the Web for over two decades, the companies that make all of the popular web browsers have now decided to remove the Flash Player plugin from their browsers, and Adobe officially announced that Flash Player would no longer be supported after December 2020.

Question 2:
What does this mean for games on the website?
Answer 2:
Unfortunately all of our web games require the Flash Player to be able to play them, since they’ve been built specifically to use Flash and all of its features and strengths. After December 2020, once the web browser manufacturers remove support for Flash Player, our games won’t be playable on the website anymore.

However, we will keep the Flash versions of our games accessible on our website for legacy browsers and any possible future solutions that may develop.
Question 3:
Does this affect the mobile apps?
Answer 3:
No, this won’t affect any of our Papa’s Gamerias on phones and tablets! In fact, we’ve been working hard to convert all of the existing Papa’s games into apps, so they would still exist in some form after Flash was discontinued.
Question 4:
What does this mean for future games?
Answer 4:
After our final web game “Papa’s Scooperia” in mid-2018, we’ve spent the past two years working entirely on mobile apps for phones and tablets, so we’ll plan to keep focusing on mobile apps for our games. This includes our next brand-new game “Papa’s Mocharia To Go”, which will be coming to phones and tablets!

Kingsley’s Customerpalooza 2020 Champion… Kenton!!!

Heya Folks!

Another year in the bag for your old friend Kingsley and my award-winning tournament, Kingsley’s Customerpalooza (I’ve won several prestigious Paloozapalooza awards for this thing)! This year’s tournament created so many wildly unique customers that I could fill up another dozen of those cooking games yous guys like so much. Like at least three Meatloaferias and a Fondue Mia.

Now that all the votes have been tallied up, we can officially announce the winner of this year’s Customerpalooza is Kenton and his creator, James!
