If you're having trouble with your progress not being saved in one of our games, or if your save files keep disappearing when you come back to the game, there are a few possible reasons why this could be happening. Check the list below to see if any of these help solve the issue for you.
PLEASE NOTE: Adobe has stopped supporting Flash Player as of December 31, 2020, and most web browsers have already removed support for playing Flash games in your browser. If you are somehow still able to play one of our games in a browser, the information below may still help, but unfortunately it's unlikely that you will be able to access the games.
Reason #1: You are using a Private Window or Incognito WindowWhen you use a Private Window or Incognito Window in your browser, it will automatically delete all of your game progress when you close the window, so it's not a good idea to use these when playing games! Private and Incognito Windows will also prevent the "Backups" feature from working in many of our games.
Reason #2: Your Web Browser is deleting your saved gamesWith most modern web browsers, when you delete cookies in your browser it will also delete your saved progress for Flash games. If you have deleted your cookies recently, or set up your web browser to automatically delete cookies when you close the window, this could be the reason your saved games have disappeared.
PLEASE NOTE: Even if you regularly play in one browser (like Firefox), if you open and close another browser (like Internet Explorer) that is set to automatically delete cookies when closed, it may still delete your game progress in Firefox! Reason #3: Other software is deleting your saved gamesSome cleaning software (such as CCleaner) may also delete your saved games. If you use cleaning software regularly, or have it scheduled to automatically clean up files on your computer, this may be why your saved games are missing. Check if there are any options to disable deleting Flash SharedObjects / LSOs / Flash Cookies in the software.
Reason #4: Flash Player is preventing you from saving your gameIf your games never save your progress, it could be a setting in the Flash Player that is preventing you from saving your game. First, check your Flash Global Storage Settings at this link:
CLICK HERE: Global Storage Settings for Flash PlayerThe image below will show settings which should work correctly. If your settings screen looks different, this may be the issue with your saved games.
Next, check your storage settings for a particular site at this link:
CLICK HERE: Website Storage Settings for Flash PlayerOn this screen, scroll through the list at the bottom and click on the site where you play the game (
www.flipline.com or
www.papalouie.com, or any other site). After clicking, check the slider and checkbox above to make sure you can save on this site. The image below shows settings that should work for you:
When you've finished making changes to each of these screens, you can just close the window -- it automatically applies the changes without needing an "OK" button.
Reason #5: You're not playing on the same exact siteIf your save files have disappeared, make sure you're playing on exactly the same site that you were playing on before. If you started playing on the Papa Louie site, those saved games may not appear on the Flipline site. Also, make sure the site address is
exactly what you used last time. There may be an issue if you started playing at "
http://flipline.com" and then try to continue on "
http://www.flipline.com" (with the www included).
Reason #6: You're not playing on the same computerYour game progress is saved directly to your computer (not stored on any account or website), so you'll have to keep playing on the same computer if you want to continue your game. If you do want to switch computers, many of our games have a "Save Backup" feature where you can save a separate backup file, then transfer this file to a different computer and use "Load Backup" in the game to copy your saved progress to the new computer.
